My first post

Well...I said I was going to do this and now I have. My very first posting to my very first blog. I'm not sure I'll keep the colour palette the way it but as it mostly matches the colours of our kitchen I'll give it a go for a while.

Six months ago I resigned from a position I held at the University of Oregon's Library for over 17 years to become a housewife and kept woman...hence the title of my blog. I'm hoping to chronicle my day to day activities, experiences and musings about this new phase of my life. Life has slowed down a lot for me since I stopped working and my days are mostly mine to do with what I want. A very freeing yet somewhat scary place to be...
